See 2012's Special Games Schedule put together nicely, by Susan Lampert. Also see the January 2012 Table Talk and the January special events calendar.

There's a new, Friday, 10:30am, San Felipe Bridge Club that started in Hayward on Friday January 13th. It meets at the San Felipe Park Community Center at 2058 D Street, in Hayward and is being operated by Charlie Conrad and Barbara Dabney. There are many unit games and other special games this month at our Unit 500 Bridge Clubs this month. Lots of master points for you!

Friday, February 3rd, we will have our 1st Unit Sponsored Unit Game at San Felipe Bridge Club. Pizza is included with the very reasonable entry fee. See Details in Flyer.

Want to learn that powerful bidding system known as 2/1 (Two-over-One Game Force)? Here's your first opportunity in many years to do that within our Unit 500. Jim Solomon will offer an eight-week course in 2/1 beginning January 17. His Competitive Bidding course will also begin on that date. Both are courses designed by North America's premiere bridge instructor, Audrey Grant. See Details on this information flyer.

All duplicate clubs in our unit have sanctioned ACBL games with web sites where game results can be viewed on-line. Here are the current bridge clubs sequenced by club owner.

Unit 500 bridge clubs sequenced by city::

Unit 500 of the ACBL (the American Contract Bridge League) is in District 21 (Northern California, U.S.A) which is part of the Western Conference (Districts 17, 21 and 22). The Southern Alameda County bridge scene has club games, a South County Sectional in August, local Unit tournaments and special events. There are many nearby Sectional and Regional tournaments that you can locate by going to District 21's web site or the ACBL web site. There are weekly duplicate games for players of all abilities from expert to novice, and bridge lessons for newcomers.
